Bipolar

Posted on Apr 11th, 2009 by SuaSponte01 : Thinker SuaSponte01
This is something that I've recently been diagnosed with. It's something that I find very depressing at times. The worst thing about it is that you feel normal, and at the same time you feel like there is something wrong.

Have you ever gone to the doctor when you feel sick only to have the doctor say that there is nothing that he can find wrong with you? Well, that's what I felt like for the longest time before I went and spoke to a physiologist. I battled with that decision for ever because I was convinced that I was fine and just needed to suck it up. Again that back and forth battle in my mind caused me even more frustration and multiplied my depression even more.

I am at least greatful that this has come to be in this day and age where there is at least some knowledge on the disorder. The only thing that I would like to see happen is more support out there. Other people with the disorder able to talk and help each other, to understand that we are not alone in the world and that someone else feels like we do.

If you find this little info at all interesting feel free to leave me a message. It's always nice to talk to those who understand.

Why???

Posted on Dec 9th, 2008 by SuaSponte01 : Thinker SuaSponte01

Has anyone ever sat down with their kid, or a young relative or sibling, in the morning and caught themselves actually watching one of those shows (like on Nick Junior) unable to look away? Not only that, but not being able to move either. Ever thought about it, like, I know this show is ridiculous and makes no sense. So why am I still sitting here watching this, and, not only that, but having a conversation with myself in the mean time?
I don't know. Maybe it's just me, but I swear those shows are like little mind control devises. Probably invented by a mother of eight children all under the age of six in order to keep her sanity.

What got me started.

Posted on Dec 8th, 2008 by SuaSponte01 : Thinker SuaSponte01

I have for a long time had many questions about many different things. Lately, I have become very interested in the world of religious philosophy. I came about it while doing some research for a book that I am, and have been for about the past 2 years, writing. I was not intending on researching this area at all, but it intrigued me to the point of looking in so more.

What I read was a fairly simple statement made by the author, CS Lewis. It was a short, simple comment about his faith.

"Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important."

The last part is really what hooked me. I had heard arguments before on this nature, and never thought much about it, but I had never heard it so simple and not only that, but to the point. No sermon, no lecture, just start to the point. I thought about it for a while, and honestly I could not think of any logical response to the statement, and I still haven't.

So, there it is, my first blog. Hope that some find it as interesting as I, but if you do not, feel free to share your insight to the statement. Trust me, it would only help.
